Sideshow have revisited their Boba Fett Sixth Scale figure and upgraded their design and quality. These came in this week.
Whilst we're still due to video review him, we have taken a good look at the quality of the figure and can confirm it's considerably improved over the previous.
The suit seems to fit much better. It's nicely weathered. Stitching is nicely scaled and looks right. Note how the fit to the legs shown above looks correct. Whilst these is another version upcoming by Hot Toys, this Sideshow one focuses on the outfit worn by Fett in Empire Strikes Back which is a different suit.
Sideshow have spent some time improving the Wookiee braids too. You now get three carefully crafted braids in different colours. It's a nice detail to add to the figure. Note on the above close up the quality of the stitching on the arm and the pouches on the belt.
This figure comes with a reasonable array of accessories and some alternate hands. The hands are nice and soft which makes them easy to fit round the various weapons on offer. The jetpack looks great and has a missile that can be posed with closed or open fins.
Another nice touch is the stand has been beefed up to allow you to display Boba Fett in a flying pose if you so wish. His cloak contains wires sewn underneath the fabric which lets you pose it in more dynamic ways. It's a nice touch that works well. Flying poses let you fill up more display space. If you're planning to display him in an Ikea Detolf display case on a shelf on his own, then flying will fill up the space better.
