Windlass Studios Iron Man Arc Reactor Prop Replica Review

From time to time, we take a look at older collectibles which we think are quite iconic.  When Tony Stark has to replace his Arc Reactor in the first Iron Man movie, Pepper Potts makes him a memory of it, by adding a display case and a surround entitled 'Tony Stark Has A Heart'. Quite some years ago, Windlass Studios got the rights to make a licenced prop replica of the movie prop. They never specified exactly how many were made, but they are pretty hard to come by now.  Here's our review of one:

Hollywood Collectibles Group Aliens Power Loader Statue Review

Hollywood Collectibles Group Aliens Power Loader Statue Review

Ah the Aliens Power Loader. What a machine idea that was! The full size version is of course a tad too big and expensive for most collectors to consider, but over the years, several manufacturers have made scaled versions of it.  Prior to this statue that I'm gonna talk about today, the best version I saw was the Hot Toys 1/6 scale version which came with a Ripley action figure. That was made many years ago, and whilst the Power Loader itself was excellent, the head sculpt on Ripley wasn't very realistic. Since then, Hot Toys have shown some exciting...

Hot Toys Delorean Review

With Hot Toys Deloreans finally shipping to the UK. Liam at Movie Figures set one up along with a Marty McFly figure for a detailed video review... If you think 1/6 scale figures are impressive, wait til you see a 1/6 vehicle. Whilst you need a large area for display space, it's worth it. Hot Toys Deloreans are pretty hard to find now. To assure yourself of getting one, you needed to pre-order many months back. This is the best tactic with a lot of Hot Toys pieces as resellers tend to order in what people pre-order as opposed to...

Movie Figures hits 1 million views on YouTube :)

The Movie Figures YouTube Channel recently hit one million video views! Whilst we know some videos, go viral and one million is nothing special, specialist video reviews like we do aren't subject to viral viewing figures. But one million views show that they are worth us spending the time and effort doing them. Our First Video Review Our first video review went up on 5th March 2013 and was of a Sideshow Collectibles Alien Warrior statue. That's now long sold out. But if you're interested in the very first video review, here it is! Yeah, yeah, we know... dodgy review skills...

Hot Toys T2 T-800 DX-10 Action Figure Video Review

Posted by MOVIE FIGURES

The Hot Toys DX10 is an awesome action figure of Arnie as seen in Terminator 2. It was produced in 2012. We've had one on display for a while and decided it was time to finally get round to video reviewing him to show off just how good this figure really looks. The head sculpt is absolutely first class. As you can see on the above shot, that looks just like the real life Arnie in T2! The DX series provides luxury packaging, highly detailed accessories and the PERS system for the eyes (you can move them about!). Our review...

Video Review Of Star Wars Boushh Helmet

Posted by MOVIE FIGURES

A review of this old Altmann's Star Wars Boushh helmet. Supposedly unofficially made after the licence was lost, this doesn't feature any licenced stamps, but is still a great example of the infamous helmet Princess Leia wears to disguise herself when attempting to rescue Han Solo in Star Wars Return Of The Jedi.

Video Review Of Aliens Hot Toys Power Loader & Ripley

This massive action figure combo is a popular, classic choice for any Hot Toys fan. Although it's old now (made in 2007), it still looks pretty awesome.
