Iron Studios proudly present their Penguin Deluxe Art Scale 1/10 Statue from Batman Returns!

After the success of the Batman film of the year 1989, which marked the 50th anniversary of the debut of the Batman, a sequel was inevitable, so in 1992, again under the direction of Tim Burton and Michael Keaton as Bruce Wayne / Batman, the film "Batman Returns" brought the Dark Knight back to theaters, thus creating his first film franchise. In this sequel Gotham's night protector faces Max Shreck (Christopher Walken), a corrupt tycoon, the enigmatic Catwoman played by Michelle Pfeiffer, and the fearsome Penguin, by Danny DeVito, who seeks revenge against the society that rejected him. A success among fans and critics, it was nominated for two Oscars: Best Visual Effects and Best Makeup.

With his origins diverging from the comic books, Oswald Cobblepot, the Penguin, was born in Gotham's aristocracy of high society, but due to his deformities he is abandoned by his parents as a baby. Supposedly created as the attraction of a freak show, thirty-three years later he returns as the leader of the Red Triangle Circus Gang, looking for revenge. This version of him in this film is much more tragic and malevolent, compared to his original comic book version which is more comical, and according to Burton, it was inspired by the classic German horror film "Das Cabinet des Dr. Caligari", of 1920, and visually influenced his first version of the animated series Batman, by Bruce Timm and Paul Dini of the same year.

With a sadistic smile, the villain lands with one of his special umbrellas, which contains a device that makes him spin like a propeller and makes him a type of flying artifact. Dressed in his formal attire, with a top hat and an overcoat in shades of black and gray, in this way Iron Studios presents his figure, represented in the " Penguin Deluxe Art Scale 1/10 - Batman Returns - Iron Studios" at the top of a diorama base, with the staircase in front of him, which takes him to his lair, where two of his pet penguins precede him, adorned with armor on his chests and carrying guided explosives, and just below his feet is his peculiar vehicle , floating duck, coming out of Gotham's icy underground river galleries. The villain is introduced to pair with the "Catwoman - Batman Returns - Art Scale 1/10" statue of the feline villain announced by Iron Studios (also available for Pre Order), in the line derived from this classic movie by Tim Burton.

The Polystone statue measures approx. 33 x 20 x 21 cm.

Pre-Order Information

Terms Of Pre-Order

Pre-orders require us to commit to an order with a specific manufacturer which we are then liable for. If you place a pre-order, the minimum 10% deposit of total guide price required to place a pre-order is non-refundable, should you choose to cancel. The only exception to this is if the price quoted on your order is going to change by more than 10% when the item arrives.

ETA's can vary and are not guaranteed arrival date. We list the date given by manufacturer, but delays can and do happen. We cannot cancel your pre-order, even if delays are substantial, so please take this into account when ordering. We regularly update the product listing with the latest ETA. Keep an eye on the listings after you order to see when your product is due to arrive.

Orders must be settled within 30 days of the product coming into stock. Failure to settle within this period may mean you lose your deposit and pre-ordered item.

Prices quoted can be subject to change as items are only billed by manufacturers when they ship to us. We do everything we can to give you an accurate buy price, but pre-orders that are far away can vary in price if exchange rate varies from now until then.

Postage fees can also vary depending on the size of the product, type of shipping and number of boxes required. We suggest you pre-order each item individually as that way each pre-order's postage is paid separately and can ship as it comes into stock.

Why Pre-Order?

Many items are produced in limited quantities. Pre-Ordering looks to ensure that you get one of the limited numbers produced.

What happens when I Pre-Order?

Upon receiving your Pre-Order, we will place an order with the appropriate distributor for your item. The distributor in turn places the order with the manufacturer who then ensure that the item is shipped to the distributor when it's ready. This means we are liable for the order from that point which is why we charge you a deposit to ensure you're serious on purchasing the item.

Why are some pre-order ship dates so far away?

A number of manufacturers produce items in batches according to demand. The manufacturing process takes considerable time as the items are often hand painted.

What if I change my mind and want to cancel?

Should you wish to cancel your Pre-Order you can do so, but you will lose either the deposit you paid, or if you paid in full or part-payments, 10% of the expected guide price of the item. The reason for this is we will have placed an order for your item and we are liable for it.

Is the price you list the final price I will pay?

Most of the time, the guide price will be correct. But as we buy most pre-orders in from abroad, the price can vary due to exchange rate variance. Sometimes that can work in your favour and sometimes against. When the item is ready to ship from the distributor, we will inform you of any price changes. If prices have risen by over 10%, you have the right to cancel order if you so wish and we will return your deposit.

Are Pre-Orders guaranteed to arrive?

Most of the time they are pretty reliable. However, sometimes the manufacturer can run into production or licensing problems and occasionally items are cancelled either temporarily or permanently. Of course if this happens we will refund your deposit.

What happens when my Pre-Order comes into stock?
When your item comes into stock you have 30 days to pay the remaining amount due (Guide Price less your deposit) or risk losing your Pre-Order and deposit.

Can I pay off my pre-order in staged payments rather than one big sum?

We can send you stage payments if you wish to pay in advance of your product shipping. Simply email us to let us know your preferred payment stages. We do ask that the balance is settled at maximum 30 days after the product is in stock.
